1) Very easy to set up
2) Played all of my DVDs, CDs, VCDs, even Divx format discs out of the box
3) Yes, it played my UK region 2 PAL dvds as well
4) USB input - read images and played music from usb flash drive
5) Picture quality is great, looks and feel reliable
6) Can't beat it at this price!

when i got my toshiba sd-705 and opened the box, i took it out and examined it all
over for a good few minutes. i hooked it up in less than 2 min. read the easy to follow manual, set up the features (some are custom others are not).first this dvd player gives new definition to reasonable price and meaning to ALL REGION BECAUSE THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THIS UNIT IS AND DOES (SHORT OF THE OCCASIONAL REGION
ISOLATED PRODUCT BY PROGRAMMING MOSTLY)YOU WON'T NEED TO THINK MUCH ABOUT REGION CODEING ANYMORE. but please let the following be known. if you own any other similiar toshiba products (like i do) you need to point the accompanied remote(two aaa batt are included)directly at the player so as to not cause other equipment to turn on (esp. dvd player/dvd doors,etc) and when playing a dvd,point the remote directly at the remote censor on the unit and press down on the buttons one at a time please don't butter-finger it or you will run into technical issues like i did(unmentioned here) do these things and your player will give you lots of enjoyable hours of viewing pleasure.be sure to only play clean dvd's/cd's in this unit. though it looks and feels light on its feet the toshiba sd-705 is a precise operating machine so take you time with it and be patient. most of the main features are on the remote so take very good care of it.and by all means E.N.J.O.Y.(REMEMBER NO PRODUCT IS COMPLETELY PERFECT, EVERY BRAND HAS IT'S RARITY DUDS),i've had my share Of iffy productS too. THIS IS MY FIRST ALL REGION DVD PLAYER! EVEN SOME AMAZON EMPLOYEE'S I'VE SPOKEN TO CLAIM TO OWN ONE AND ENJOY THEIRS. I REALLY THINK I GOT A VERY GOOD UNIT.:)

this DVD player is awesome exactly what i was looking for. region free and not that expensive. exactly what i wanted plus the free shipping that arrive a day early than expected. simply I love this product :P
